About Us

Earth Observation Lab is an educational, innovation laboratory dedicated to environmental science and technology at the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Kamp-Lintfort campus. Founded in 2020 by Dr. Rolf Becker, it is a culmination of three labs - Drone Lab, Internet of Things Lab and EOLab. Our aim is to deliver novel solutions to scientific, environmental problems in the modern world. We collaborate with our industry partners as well as universities to undertake projects meant to deliver these solutions. From agricultural services to drone competence, we blend educational excellence with a touch of creative ingenuity to optimise the outputs of our research for our community.

By researching and developing novel ways of utilising existent technology and harnessing the power of educational information we strive to achieve unprecedented heights of environmental solutions. Creating jobs and opportunities for students and graduates at the university allows us to tap into topics and projects that surpass just the environmental problems. Our efforts include steps to further earth observation science and artificial intelligence that serves modern green technologies.
